Overview 概述
British Standard BS 7835 specifies requirements for single-core and three-core armoured cables with thermosetting insulation rated from 3.8/6.6kV up to 19/33kV. These cables are engineered with Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) sheathing, designed to produce significantly reduced levels of smoke and corrosive gases when exposed to fire compared to conventional cables specified under BS 6622.
BS 7835 cables demonstrate improved fire performance when installed in air and, with metallic armour providing mechanical protection, are suitable for direct burial installation in free-draining soil conditions.

BS 7835 cables feature a multi-layer construction designed for optimal electrical performance, mechanical protection, and fire safety. The insulation system uses either Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) Type GP8 or cross-linked Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) Type GP7.
