  • Qualify the cable, gland, connector, repair joint and pump entry as a complete water-pressure system.
  • Review water chemistry for aggressive or unusual substances.
  • For FC+, bond the screen at both ends with a low-impedance, circumferential termination.
  • Verify conductor resistance, PE continuity, screen continuity and agreed insulation/withstand testing.
  • Record a baseline visual condition and check for sheath swelling, blistering, cracking or chemical attack during inspection.

18. Failure mode and effects analysis

Wrong family: ordinary H07RN-F is treated as a permanent wastewater cable.
Depth conflict: an older 2,000 m statement is used for a product shown at 500 m in the current overview.
Chemical incompatibility: depth compliance is assumed to prove resistance to every wastewater composition.
Accessory leakage: the cable rating is accepted without pressure-qualifying the gland or joint.
FC+ bonding failure: pigtail screen termination creates high impedance and poor EMC.
Thermal mixing: 90°C/250°C values from one H07RN-F document are applied to a 60°C/200°C regional product.
