Engineer’s summary: this is the 1 kV member of the JZ/OZ family: same fine-wire flexibility and numbered cores, but with 1 kV insulation walls across all sizes, a 160 °C short-circuit limit and a UV-proofed black sheath for outdoor installation. It is not for burial, drag chains or tensile load.

1. Reading the designation

JZ = with GNYE and numbered cores (‘G’); OZ = without GNYE (‘x’). 0,6/1 kV denotes the rated voltage U0/U with 1 kV insulation wall thickness; SCHWARZ (black) the UV-proofed RAL 9005 sheath.

2. Construction

The key difference from the grey 300/500 V JZ/OZ is the insulation wall: dimensioned for 1 kV, it raises the voltage rating and increases the outer diameter slightly. The black sheath is UV-proofed for outdoor runs.

9. Certification and traceability

This cable is RoHS-conform and CE-conform to the 2014/35/EU Low Voltage Directive, LABS-/silicone-free during production, with flame behaviour to IEC 60332-1. FeiChun Cable holds a complete export certification portfolio — including CE, UKCA, VDE, EAC, ATEX and IECEx — and every certificate supplied is checked against the exact type, voltage, factory and standard of the order.

Routine tests

Conductor resistance, 4 kV voltage test, insulation resistance, core numbering, dimensions and marking.

Type tests

IEC 60332-1 flame, sheath ageing, UV resistance of the black sheath, oil resistance on request.

Delivery documents

Approved datasheet, test report per drum, batch number and length marking.

10. FAQ

Why choose 0.6/1 kV instead of 300/500 V?

For power feeds in panels, pumps and machines on 400/690 V systems, and for any circuit where the 300/500 V rating is insufficient. The 1 kV insulation walls also add mechanical and dielectric margin.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. The black PVC sheath is UV-proofed. It must not be buried.

NYY-J or JZ 0.6/1 kV?

NYY-J is a fixed-installation cable with class 1/2 conductors; JZ 0.6/1 kV has fine-wire class 5 conductors for easier routing and free movement.

Why 160 °C short-circuit?

The data sheet specifies +160 °C for this compound system, which gives a slightly higher short-circuit capacity than 150 °C types.

Can it go in a drag chain?

No: free movement only, without tensile stress or forced guidance.

How many cores?

Up to 25 cores in 0.5–2.5 mm², 12 cores in 4 mm², and up to 7 cores to 25 mm²; 4 G 120 is the largest size.
