British Standard cable China

4 Min Read
British Standard BS6231 is the primary standard that specifies the performance and construction requirements for single core, non-sheathed electric cables of rated voltage 600/1000V for switchgear and controlgear wiring with PVC insulation. BS6231 cables, also known as tri-rated cables or panel wire, are heat-resistant and flame-retardant cables designed for use in switch control, relay and instrumentation panels of power switchgear. These cables serve critical purposes including internal connectors in rectifier equipment, motor starters, and controllers. The tri-rated designation indicates that these cables meet three major international standards simultaneously: BS6231 (British), UL1015 (American), and CSA C22.2 (Canadian), making them versatile for global applications.
